College Football Friday –Top Running Backs 2025

TOP RUNNING BACKS

 

  1. Jeremiyah Love- Notre Dame – This running back is a definite candidate for the Heisman trophy. He is 6’1″ and 212 lbs junior. in 2024, he carried 163 times with 17 touchdowns along with gaining 1125 yards on the season. Love was born in St. Louis , Mo.
  2. Makhi Hughes- Oregon- This running back is 5’11” and 210 lbs. He was 5th best transfer in the portal as he came from Nevada and will be a dynamite runner for the Ducks.
  3. Kaytron Allen– Penn State- The Norfolk, Virginia native is 5’11” and 216 lbs. Last season he had .220 carries with 8 touchdowns and 1108 yards and averaged 5 yards per carry. Look for Allen to get more carries and the Nittany Lions become a top 5 team in the nation.
  4. Justice Haynes– Michigan- A transfer from Alabama, he is 5’11” and 200 lbs from Buford, GA. Last season at Alabama he had 79 carries with 448 yards and 7 touchdowns.
  5. Nick Singleton- Penn State- This junior is 6’0″ 227 lbs from Shillington, GA. in 2024, he had   CAR. 172. YDS. 1,099. TD. 12. AVG 6.4 yards
  6. James Peoples- Ohio State- Head coach Ryan Day thinks he has the best running back in the country, we shall see.· Class. Freshman · HT/WT. 5′ 10″, 203 lbs · Birthplace. San Antonio, TX.  2024 season stats. CAR. 49. YDS. 197. TD. 2.
  7. Jamal Haynes– Georgia Tech- at 5’9″ 200 lbs., Haynes switched from wide receiver to running back in 2023 and became Tech’s first 1,000 yards runner
  8. Jaydn Ott- Oklahoma –  At 6’0″, 205 lbs  this running back transferred from Cal to Oklahoma and is expected to be a monster for the Sooners.
  9. Isaac Brown– Louisville-Class. Freshman · HT/WT. 5′ 9″, 190 lbs · Birthplace. Homestead, FL. Follow. 2024 season stats. CAR. 165. YDS. 1,173. TD. 11. AVG. 7.1.
  10. Tre Wisner– Texas-rushed 124 times for 841 yards (6.8 ypc) and six touchdowns, while catching 35 passes for 502 yards and four touchdowns.
